... a non-profit organization, was founded in 1957 by Hilda Freeman for the purpose of bringing theater to the people
of the Attleboros. During its 54 year history, the group has produced such outstanding plays as: The Diary of Anne Frank,
Cemetery Club, A Few Good Men, The Boys Next Door, Crossing Delancey and A Christmas Carol.
To carry out our work, we are fortunate in having a substantial number of patrons who feel the group is doing something
of critical value to the community. We are very grateful for their support, and we earnestly solicit other community
minded citizens to join in our effort.

by Carl Sternheim, adapted by Steve Martin - It is Germany, 1910; Louise Maske has an unfortunate accident while watching the King's parade. Attempting to get a better view of the king, Louise stands on a bench and stretches as far as she can.
In an attempt to wave to the King, the unthinkable happens. Her "underpants" fall down and there is
a "welcome breeze in the netherworld".
Warning Underpants contains sexual content, off-the-wall humor, wordplay and
masterful banter. May NOT be appropriate for children.

In an attempt to wave to the King, the unthinkable happens. Her "underpants" fall down and there is
a "welcome breeze in the netherworld". Louise thinks that no one has noticed, unfortunately, that's not the case.
What follows is Steve Martin at his best. Louise's husband Theo, who works for the King, is
appalled; he fears financial ruin and becoming a social outcast from the inevitable scandal. Before long,
besotted men appear at the Maske's door to rent a room, and, unnoticed by the proprietor, to seduce
his wife. There is Frank the Italian lover and unpublished poet and Cohen (with a "K"), the sickly, thin,
asthmatic Jewish gentlemen. What ensues next is deception, lying, trickery, and lots and lots of laughter
as the scandal erupts into an amazing spectacle."
"An ambitious amalgam of comic book and social commentary
made out of sex jokes, slamming doors, and sophisticated repartee... valiantly eccentric, Martin
shares the time-honored belief in the seriousness of silliness." ... New York Times
